Upholstering your furniture

I am a qualified upholsterer with 13 years experience and can reupholster anything from a set of dining chairs to a three piece suite, and everything inbetween.

All of the upholstery you see on this page was done by myself, although in some cases, particularly large jobs, I work alongside another time served local upholsterer to ensure that the end result is perfect and ready in good time.

I have a selection of fabrics that I can bring to your house for you to choose from, and I can help you make the decision as to what would work best with your decor if you're unsure. And if I don't have the fabric you have in mind, I can help you to find it.

Prices range enormously depending on the piece but start from as little as £45 to recover a dining chair, £200 to recover a nursing chair, £300 for an armchair or chaise longue, to £500 or more for a sofa. This is not including fabric. But all chairs are different, and require varying degrees of work and fabric, so  send me a photo, along with a description of what you'd like to do with it, and I'll reply with a rough estimate of cost.

I will take on any type of project, from the traditional to the unusual.

I have just recently had a client who gave me a huge 3 seater sofa that he wanted recovering with black and white geometric fabric by Marimekko, and another lady with a lovely old rocking chair that she wanted to recover with some arts and crafts stylr William Morris fabric.

So if you have an idea for one of your own pieces, send me a photo, along with a description of what you'd like to do with it, and I'll reply with a rough estimate of cost.

For logistical reasons I usually only undertake upholstery work in the Greater Manchester area. But if you are prepared to have the furniture delivered to me and collected from me, I would consider doing work further afield. I recommend www.shiply.com for moving furniture at a reasonable price.
